What to Pack for a Rwanda Safari: The Essential Packing List

Rwanda sits close to the equator but at altitude (1,500–4,500m). Mornings in the Virungas can be 8°C; afternoons in Akagera hit 30°C. The solution is layers — lightweight base layers that can be added or removed throughout the day.
